Myron Butler set to release newest album, Worship. With a musical career that spans over two decades, the famed producer, songwriter, vocalist, and creative force behind the ensemble Myron Butler and Levi, now stands before us simply to Worship.
Worship, the 11-song project is not your typical Sunday morning praise team experience. These songs are high spirited, passionate, heartfelt and soulful, created to lead both live audiences and album listeners into an atmosphere of worship. Unlike his previous releases, Worship is reflective of Myron’s experiences as Minister of Music at The Potters House, where he serves under founder and Senior Pastor Bishop TD Jakes. On any given Sunday Butler leads a congregation of more than 30,000 members into worship. That leadership role greatly shaped his vision and production of this very special project.
The meticulous preparation is apparent from the first song, and throughout the entire album. The current single “Not My Own” is a powerful duet with accomplished worship leader Tasha Cobbs. Other key moments include the meditative ballad “Changed” and the lively sing-along “Bless The Lord,” a simple yet powerful worship anthem with dynamic chorus and amazing vocal arrangements. In addition to the live segment of the project, Myron stepped into the studio to cut two songs, “Dwell Here” and “I Honor You”. As a bonus offering, Myron decided to reissue “Speak,” the contemporary church anthem, and audience favorite at Myron’s ministry appearances.
Whether on Sunday morning, in studio, in concert, or merely in rehearsal, Myron’s heart for people and his passion for God are apparent throughout his ministry. Worship, a powerful project and the perfect snapshot of this time in his life, Myron stands before us ready, and set to Worship.
